  • May 1st, Thursday: The Wrong Dog Dream: A True Romance is published in paperback
  • May 3rd, Saturday:  The Inaugural California Independent Bookstore Day. Order your copy of Wrong Dog from your local independent and to get it on Saturday, May 3rd, as there are countless events scheduled at these venues. We’re going to most of the independents in the East Bay and Marin and hope to see you there.
  • May 6th, Tuesday: Counterpoint Press and City Lights Books launch Don Carpenter’s no-longer-lost last book, Fridays at Enrico’s, with a gala event — part reading, part memorial tribute to Don.  The Book Club of California, 312 Sutter, Suite 500 (at Grant), San Francisco. Come early — doors open at 6:30. Featured speakers are Anne Lamott, Curt Gentry, Louis B. Jones, Peter Coyote, and Jane Vandenburgh.
  • May 8th, Thursday: Why There Are Words, WTAW Reading with Porter Shreve and Maria Hummel, among others.
